THE CIRCLE OF LIFE, IT MOVES US ALL

INTRODUCTION

1) The Church is a family – god created fatherhood

  • You can have a father and be fatherless
  • God is the father of ALL
  • The Importance of living a Radical encounter of God as a father
  • I tend to connect more with Jesus as a son than the father God:
  • I tend to  connect more with Holy Spirit than God as father, Aba Father
  • Rembrandt’s Prodigal son
  • Think about the Instability of a fatherless family

The importance of discovering your IDENTITY as sons and daughters:

  1. Recovering place as sons and daughter
  • That puts everything into perspective
  1. Image bearer : God puts his breath into us that we may breath exhale and inhale his life
  • Knowing the father heart changes everything and makes you who you are.
  • Before you were but a thought, he knew you
  • You are a package to the world· you are still here, with purpose
  • HEAVEN POWER IS BEHIND YOU
  • JOHN 5:19: the son does only what he sees the father doing

3. In this world your may have 10,000 teachers but only few fathers 1 Cor 4:15

  • 1 Cor 4:15 For though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have you not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Elijah’s ministry: to restore the heart of the fathers to the sons·

  • Mal 4:1-6 : 5“Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the LORD arrives. 6 His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

IT IS A TRAGEDY WHEN YOU FORGETS WHO YOU ARE, WHEN YOU FORGET YOUR PLACE AS SONS AND OR DAUGHTER:

  • From Simba: Look out there. Simba, you have forgotten me, you have forgotten who you are, you have forgotten me. YOU MUST TAKE YOUR PLACE IN THE CIRCLE OF LIFE. JUST REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE: YOU ARE MY SON AND THE ONE TRUE KING..

Don’t look at mirror and see your defect but see GOD REFLECTION AND LIFE IN YOU…remember who you are: Christ in you the hope of Glory Col 1:27…, Like the Son who is the first born, Col 1:15: we who are image bearers Reflect the image of the invisible God…

Read James -1:23-25 ( Forget NOT Your Image) — PRODIGAL—

  • 19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: … 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (WE Are most like our father when we take care of orphans, widows & those in distress)

YOU LOOK LIKE YOUR FATHER

  • 2 Cor 3:18 we all with unveiled faces reflect the Lord glory are being transformed into his likeness from glory to Glory 12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

HE LIVES IN YOU

  • He watches over everything you see, in your reflection, he lives in you. I wonder what might grow out of out lives if we remember that we are being watched over, that we are being witnessed, that the Father truly watches over, into the waters of our lives, in our reflection….

  3. INTIMACY: We owe the world an encounter with God the Father
  4. ASK GOD WHAT SEASON IT IS IN YOUR LIFE,SEEK OUT SPIRITUAL MOTHERS AND FATHERS
  5. IF YOU ARE A FATHER, WHO CAN YOU BE FATHERING NOW OUT OF YOUR OVERFLOW AS FATHER, SONS, MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS?
